Samson Siasia's U12 Boys, Finalists In Paramount-Carowinds Charlotte Invitational

Classic I Team Faces Charlotte United Gold In The Final

ALPHARETTA, GA – August 17, 2003 – Samson Siasia, Atlanta' most experienced player-coach and head coach of the Stars Under-11 (U11) boys "Orange A" team - one of Georgia’s fastest rising youth teams, announces earning a finalist spot in the Paramount-Carowinds Charlotte Invitational.  The final pitted Stars Orange against the Charlotte United Gold, reputed #2 U12 boys team in North Carolina.

"Becoming a finalist demonstrates how focus on individual player development creates great teams. The players improved their play with each game to reach the final. Each improves skill and confidence, developing the ability to play well at the highest level," says head coach, Samson Siasia.  Samson played for the fifth ranked team in the World, Nigeria’s Super Eagles during the 1994 World Cup held in the United States.

Interested players or parents are encouraged to visit Mr. Siasia’s Web site at http://www.SiaOne.com or call to attend a practice with one of his teams.

Samson succeeded in developing excellent sides from recently formed teams, such as these boys, who – at Under-10 - won the state championships in the “B” division within nine months of being formed from recreational players.  The boys were also finalists at TYSA, Champions at Concorde. Most significantly, the team earned Classic I ranking for the fall of 2003 - and were finalists in the State Cup - both are the highest level of state competition for the age group.  Mr. Siasia currently coaches teams at U12 and U17.
