Samson Siasia's U-16 Boys Win Red Star Tournament

Champions Coached By Former World Cup & Professional Player

ALPHARETTA, GA — December 8, 2002 — Samsons Siasia Atlanta's most experienced player-coach, announces that the Stars Under-16 age group boy's won the Red Star Tournament in Columbus. This team, Stars Orange won four consecutive games to take the title. In the final, the side came back from a 0-2 deficit at the half to win against the East Cobb Rangers with a final score of 4-3.

"Winning is one objective, but improving play and gaining confidence is the goal," said the champion's coach, Samson Siasia. "This team beat better ranked teams, even select Classic teams, to gain multiple victories and the championship." Samson played for the fifth ranked team in the World, Nigeria's Super Eagles in the 1994 World Cup held in the United States.

Interested players may try-out for teams that Samson coaches at Under-11 and Under-16. These teams will play at U-12 and U-17 in the Fall of 2003.
